Abbey Sanders Ecology is an ecological consultancy based in Chepstow, between the Wye Valley, Monmouthshire and Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. Established in 2007, we work in South Wales, southwest England and further afield. We provide a range of consultancy services including protected species and habitat surveys, research, assessments and management plans for development, renewable energy and conservation projects. We work with individual householders, developers, statutory and non-government organisations.
Abbey Sanders BSc MSc CEnv MIEEM is a qualified professional consultant ecologist and Member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and Chartered Environmentalist, holding protected species licences. She is a Member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and Chartered Environmentalist and has a BSc (Honours) and MSc degree in ecology and environmental management, with research including projects on Otters and Dormice. Abbey has worked as an ecologist for several years before establishing this practice and has a background in private practice, local authority, NGOs and the voluntary sector over 13 years.
Experienced ecology assistants and associate consultants including ecologists, landscape architects and planners assist in delivering a range of projects including bat surveys, habitat assessment, on-site mitigation for mammals, reptiles or newts and planning for landscape level ecology.
